The first movement
Our spiritual creation narrative begins with the first divine movement: an initial energetic impulse bringing motion into stillness. We contemplate this as the beginning of rhythm, relationship, and unfolding creation.
Movement is a change in position. Kinetic energy is energy associated with motion. Vibration is repeated movement around a position. Frequency describes how often a vibration repeats.
In this narrative, primordial vibration represents the first creative movement through space. Audible sound is a particular kind of vibration traveling through matter, such as air, water, or a solid.
Careful: The divine beginning is a spiritual narrative, not a measured scientific account of the universe's origin. Sound needs a material medium; not all vibration is audible sound.
What does frequency describe?
"How can movement become an expression of order, relationship, and form?"
